History of the Westiepoo Breed. Where Westiepoos came from
In Scotland, the West Highland White Terrier (Westie) was bred to hunt vermin and other small animals.
These rambunctious dogs are related to a number of other Terriers that originated in Scotland, including the Cairn Terrier, Scottish Terrier, and Skye Terrier.
Westies used to have a variety of coat colors, but after a notable Scottish colonel mistook his favorite dog for a fox and shot it, he bred only white Terriers as a precaution.
Since then, the dog breed has been entirely white! In 1908, the American Kennel Club officially recognized Westies.
The Poodle can be traced back thousands of years to ancient Egypt, possibly as far as the first century.

What the Westiepoo Looks Like
The Westiepoo will have a straight, level backbone like Poodles and West Highland White Terriers.
These dogs can be square, like the Poodle, or rectangular, like the Westie, because their bodies are slightly longer than their legs.
Their tails are positioned high and have a slight curve.
The coat is medium in length, wiry or curly, and medium in density.
Westiepoos may inherit the Poodle`s soft, curly coat, the Westie`s rough, wiry coat, or a combination of the two.
Their coat is usually white, but it can be white with patches of blonde, grey, or liver.
They have round or oval-shaped eyes that are dark and wideset.
